The Role
You will take on the responsibility of leading the design of data center infrastructure facilities (including power, cooling, security, and other building systems) as well as assessing existing facilities.
You will propose and implement technical solutions that ensure high availability and efficiency of the infrastructure environment, while considering future scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implementation of data center facilities (UPS, generators, HVAC, cooling systems, BMS, etc.)
Strategic planning for enterprise data centers (optimizing capital investment / evaluating external migration)
Technical support and project management for new data center launches
Design and construction management of facility work (power and communication) required for system implementation
Planning and execution of measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact
Coordination and management of vendors and contractors related to the above tasks
Technical guidance and development of team members

Many of our Infrastructure Specialists are on a path toward becoming either an Architect or Distinguished Engineer, and there are opportunities at every skill level to grow in either of these directions.
Who You Are
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience in building infrastructure for data centers or similar facilities (preferably 5+ years)
In-depth knowledge of one or more areas: UPS, generators, HVAC systems, cooling technologies
Project management experience
Ability to perform business tasks in Japanese (English proficiency is a plus)
Licensed Construction Management Engineer (Electrical / Telecommunications / Piping)
Certifications such as Class-3 Chief Electrical Engineer or Building Services Engineer
Strong knowledge of data center industry trends
Experience in global data center operations
Interest and knowledge in sustainability and Green IT
