Who we are looking for
We are looking for a hands-on program manager with a strong technical background to help run the day-to-day operations of our Secure Configuration Management (SCM) program. This role requires someone who can manage across multiple workstreams, work closely with platform teams and stakeholders, and help keep the program moving forward. Prior experience working with IT infrastructure, compliance, processes, and configuration tools is highly preferred.

The Secure Configuration Management program plays a key role in reducing operational risk and improving audit readiness across State Street. This position helps tie the pieces together – working with baseline owners, scanning teams, compliance leads, and engineering partners to make sure we are aligned, on track, and communicating clearly. You will also serve as a key point of contact for regulatory requests and internal reviews.
What you will be responsible for
Program Management & Execution
Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple SCM workstreams
Track deliverables, timelines, and key milestones for team initiatives
Help surface risks, remove roadblocks, and drive consistent progress
Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as the go-to contact for audit teams, risk partners, and external regulators
Work with decentralized teams to align priorities and stay on target
Support leadership reporting and status updates
Process & Oversight
Work with baseline and scanning leads to make sure changes are implemented and tracked
Ensure updates, documentation, and escalation paths are consistently followed
Help connect the dots between strategic goals and execution
What we value

Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Experience managing technical programs or large-scale IT initiatives
Proficient in managing day-to-day program activities, including setting priorities and allocating resources to align with strategic objectives
Ability to lead conversations with platform owners, risk teams, and senior stakeholders
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities
Familiarity with configuration management tools (i.e., Qualys, Chef Inspec, ServiceNow Configuration Compliance) and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS)
Expertise in ensuring program processes comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards
Education & Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in configuration management, cybersecurity or technology roles with at least 5 years in a technical management role overseeing large complex programs
Experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, infrastructure, or audit- focused programs
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and secure configuration concepts
Financial services experience is preferred
Experience technology solutions such as M365, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
CISSP certification is a plus
Work Requirement
Five day work week, M-F. Minimum four days in office
40 hours/week, 9am – 5pm.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $217,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
