Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Infrastructure Design Coordinator to join our team! The Infrastructure Design Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design and development of infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality designs that meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate infrastructure design activities across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Ensure design deliverables align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Act as the primary point of contact between design teams, contractors, and clients.
Design Management:
- Review and approve infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to design teams.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and other stakeholders to develop integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks on design documents and specifications.
- Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Present updates and recommendations to senior management and clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in infrastructure design standards and codes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field – Masters degree is preferable.
- Experience:
- 12 + years of relative experience in infrastructure design or project coordination.
- Proven track record of managing design projects from concept to completion.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure design principles, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in software design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, LEED).
- Experience in sustainable infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and data analysis.
- Familiar with ADQCC Standards
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional site visits.
- May require travel to project locations.
