Ardent is seeking a Infrastructure, Cloud, and Server Room Lead to join our team.  

This is an onsite position in Washington DC.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure, Cloud, and Server Room Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure systems across on-premises, cloud, and secure server room environments. This role will focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of critical infrastructure supporting both enterprise and classified systems.

The ideal candidate will lead efforts related to cloud architecture, physical server environments, and infrastructure operations, including environments utilizing ClassNet terminals or similar classified systems. This individual will play a key role in maintaining system performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • The successful candidate for the Infrastructure, Cloud, and Server Room Lead position will provide a broad range of infrastructure and engineering support functions, including:
  • Infrastructure Management & Oversight:
    Lead the management of on-premises infrastructure, server rooms, and cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Cloud Architecture & Operations:
    Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Server Room & Hardware Management:
    Oversee physical server environments, including hardware installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Ensure all infrastructure systems comply with security requirements, particularly within classified environments.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization:
    Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, cloud, and system performance issues.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    Work closely with Infrastructure, Network, and Security/Firewall Engineers to support secure and reliable system operations.

 

Requirements: 

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance at time of award and be able to maintain clearance
  • Secret clearance must be obtained prior to performing any work requiring access to classified systems
  • Experience supporting classified systems (e.g., ClassNet terminals or related infrastructure)
  • Strong background in infrastructure management, cloud environments, and server administration
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar)
  • Knowledge of physical server environments and data center operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
