The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Team is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO or Seattle, WA.

The selected candidate will lead multiple talented and matrixed teams in developing solutions for Enterprise Labs, Product Security Engineering, and Software Engineering. This individual must leverage strong skills in Agile Software Development, relationship building and teaming, problem solving, and communication at multiple levels to help accelerate our team's operations and lead them to successful delivery of valuable business solutions. They will work with a diverse set of stakeholders, including all three of Boeing’s primary business units (Commercial, Defense, and Services), Engineering, Test & Technology, and Information Digital Technology & Security.

The IDT&S Manager will also play a vital role in defining the future state of our team operations as we strive to take over and expand a solution to enterprise use, as well as develop a new enterprise solution while working to stabilize and sunset its predecessor. Further, the selected individual will lead a team that is in startup mode, defining standards, and establishing a breadth of solutions for Enterprise Labs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Empower teams so they can operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-organization, and deliver to business priorities

  • Strategically manage the team and their deliverables, including projections for future staffing needs, to ensure alignment with organizational goals

  • Work with team members to manage work priorities, facilitate skill assignments, and address people’s actions in order to maintain high performing teams

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships on a global scale with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Manage technical debt to ensure products get and stay ahead of the technology obsolescence curve

  • Identify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing integrated or technical projects or teams across multiple computing platforms and organizations

  • 5+ years of experience working on and/or leading Agile teams

  • 5+ years of experience working with global teams

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Experience with and exposure to physical and technical security, as well as physical Lab environments

  • Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience building teams from the ground up and transitioning them into highly effective operations

  • Experience with software startup environments

  • Experience with Agile Software Development

  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • Experience coaching and mentoring peers and/or reports to continuous learning and improvement

Summary pay range: $134,300 - $194,350
