About Position / Position Summary
Manages and integrates employee activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages and provides developmental opportunities for employees.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages first-level manager activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, application development, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis. Roles and responsibilities include the following areas –
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Engage with a diverse team across multiple organizations in the enterprise.
Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Acquires resources for project activities, provides technical management and leads process improvements.
Manages budget and financial plan for the team. Involved in forecasting for testing as a service. Develops and maintains relationships and partnership with customers, vendors, stakeholders, peers and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches for products and processes. Manages, develops and motivate employees as appropriate.
Demonstrated experience managing IT experts in their domain(s)
Demonstrated experience managing medium to large scale software development projects related to Engineering or Manufacturing or Aerospace Product Support and Services
Demonstrated experience in testing/test automation tools, methodologies, strategies, and competencies.
Demonstrated experience working in Devops environment especially around continuous testing framework
Demonstrated experience in IT service delivery adhering to ITSM concepts
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in managing supplier relationships
Demonstrated knowledge in IT and its implications for the organization and the industry
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills that are clear, concise and appropriate in timing and directed to appropriate levels, from executives, to business, to deep technologists
Proven ability to develop collaborative business relationships internally and externally

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
At-least 2 years of People Management experience
Experience managing and delivering IT projects/products related to at least one or multiple of the following areas in the aerospace domain
Large scale Application development expertise
Experience managing budget and financial plan for the teams
Experience in SAFE/Agile/Devops with Digital Transformation Environment
Experience managing resources that use XP way (TDD or Pair Programming) to deliver products and solutions.
Experience using Software Development Lifecycle to manage work products and prioritize deliverables
Transition management
Aerospace or Manufacturing Domain knowledge
Experience with exhibiting a innovation mindset and cultivating/nurturing an innovation culture.

Aerospace or Manufacturing Domain knowledge
At-least 2 years of People Management experience
Large scale Application development expertise
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 Plus years' related work experience or Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
