The IT Intern actively contributes to meaningful projects within different IT departments/functions. The incumbent in this role works closely with a mentor and with IT leaders to gain meaningful hands-on experience in an IT position. He/She will be exposed to challenging opportunities, real technical projects and interaction with staff, allowing him/her to gain knowledge, understanding and experience the IT field.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lends IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, product & project management and/or data center management.
- Supports the IT team in maintaining hardware, software and/or other systems or solutions.
- Works within specialized IT teams to build solutions for business partners.
- Works with key stakeholders to accomplish goals and objectives that drive value to the business.
- Assists on projects using a hands-on approach to gain insight into our IT values-driven processes.
- Collaborates with multi-functional teams to support internal and external customer needs.
- Provides suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
- Shadows multiple office positions and trains in a variety of tasks.
- Communicates tech issues quickly and effectively to IT leaders and offer solutions.
- Assesses situations and responds proactively through the effective use of available resources.
- Assists with troubleshooting issues and provides technical support.
- Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff; build enduring partnerships.
- Attends company functions and networking events.
- Creates, edits and updates technical documentation, as necessary.
- Organizes and maintains IT resources.
- Performs IT administrative and other duties as assigned and modified at leader/mentor’s discretion.

- Basic-level business acuity
- Basic knowledge and understanding of general/core job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods
- High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter - especially as it relates to calling on resources outside the firm

- Spoken and written fluency in English
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Pursuing a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a closely related field required
- No minimum experience requirement
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
PAY RANGE:
$12.0 - $17.19 Hourly
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
