Information Technology Executive
The IT Executive is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and security of all computer systems, networks, and data communication technologies within the hotel. This role supports day‑to‑day IT operations, ensures system reliability, and provides prompt technical assistance to internal users and guests.
What You Will Do:
1. Cross Department Collaboration & Professional Conduct
Maintain a professional and collaborative working relationship with all hotel departments and the Home Office.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and engage effectively with employees at all levels.
Uphold the high service and behavioural standards expected of Four Seasons Hotels.
2. User & Guest Support
Provide timely technical support to hotel guests for their technology needs.
Deliver high quality IT services and support to administrative users based on established SLAs.
Assist departments in planning and coordinating computer training to support operational requirements.
3. Systems Availability & Operations
Ensure continuous availability of key hotel systems, including:
- Property Management System (PMS)
- Call Accounting
- HSIA (High Speed Internet Access)
- PABX
- Food & Beverage POS systems
- Other essential property applications
Develop and maintain user guides, system procedures, and hardware familiarization materials.
4. Application, System & Network Support
Provide support for all hotel systems, including back office, sales & catering, and HR applications.
Assist the Technology Innovation & Data Director and Manager in maintaining system security, user access controls, and compliance with corporate policies.
Support the operation of electronic communication systems such as email and internet services in accordance with corporate guidelines.
5. Vendor & Asset Management
Act as the primary liaison with hardware and software vendors, ensuring compliance with maintenance agreements.
Work with the Purchasing Department to develop and maintain an approved supplier list for IT related products and supplies.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, hardware/software assets, issues, and service history.
6. Project Coordination & Implementations
Coordinate system upgrades, updates, and new implementations with hotel departments, vendors, and Corporate MIS.
Support property level and corporate initiated technology projects.
7. Backup, Security & Compliance
Establish and enforce system backup procedures to safeguard critical data in line with corporate and local policy requirements.
Assist in implementing cybersecurity controls, internal system security procedures, and operational safeguards.
What You Bring:
Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
1–3 years of IT support experience; hospitality experience preferred.
Good knowledge of Windows systems, networks (LAN/Wi-Fi), and IT hardware.
Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, POS, keycard) is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service mindset.
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Team player with attention to detail.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia.
Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
