Job Summary:

Assists with monitoring and implementing of Virtua’s IS Security Plan. 

Assesses security needs and evaluates solutions to meet security best practices. 

Assists with security audits and security breech investigations. Daily operational support in analyzing, designing, and implementing security best practices and mitigation.

Assist with project implementations for a variety of security initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

Support daily coordination and remediation of information security related incidents. 

Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Maintains system security baselines, documentation, and policies and procedures.  Including servers, workstations, and appliances.

Demonstrates knowledge of information security concepts and methodologies, as well a practical application of security principles such as authentication, authorization, access controls, and protection strategies.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing publications; maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends and exploits.

Support Service Desk and Technical support team with projects and daily problem resolution with regards to security incidents. Supports Server Analysts and Engineers with security related project tasks.

Provides after-hours support as required.

Adheres to IS Business Practices and available for 24/7 support as needed.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

A minimum of five years of applicable experience required.

Must possess an excellent knowledge of hardware and software configurations.

Expert knowledge of Windows-based systems/architectures and related security.

Must have a strong knowledge of various Network and Operating Systems including all Windows platforms.

Experience with HITECH, HIPAA, and PCI.

Experience with securing virtualization platforms

Excellent project and time management skills. 

Experience with writing documentation is a plus.

Required Education:

Undergraduate degree in Computer/Information Systems or related area or equivalent experience.

Annual Salary: $84,496 - $131,368 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
