Your role

The Information Manager is responsible for continuous improvement by developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge within the team. The Information Manager is responsible by having up-to-date process documentation, (internal) guidelines, training materials, process and data quality performance insights. The focus is on enhancing process effectiveness through a data-driven mindset, which can ultimately lead to improved efficiency, as well as greater satisfaction for both customers and employees. Additionally, the power of analytics must be used to make sure procurement teams can work with required and relevant information for data driven decision-making.

Your responsibilities

Operations and Analytics

  • Identify creation of relevant data and analytics and support the implementation and maintenance of reporting such as KPIs.
  • Support procurement teams by providing analytical insights to help them develop their category strategy, sourcing strategy, and supplier segmentation model.
  • Work with Tech, COO Finance and Data teams to implement data and analytics requirements from procurement keeping a close eye on data integrity and data quality.
  • Support generation of analytics, metrics and mechanisms to monitor and measure supplier performance and success. Including assessing opportunities for supplier and market innovation trends.
  • Manage the review of vendor master data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with Procurement operations to secure back-office efficiency and improvements.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and assess risks, which involves interpreting complex information and making informed decisions.
  • Prepare Change Requests and ensure business implementation for (procurement) application improvements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Alignment with multidisciplinary Subject Matter Experts to ascertain efficient and effective process while adhering to internal and external requirements in procurement processes (Source to Contract, Purchase to Pay).

Strategic Challenges

Embed collaboration with multiple Subject Matter Experts, including global/local procurement teams to implement effective and efficient end-to-end procurement processes serving multiple subject matter experts (Legal, CISO, DPO, etc.) and ascertaining high data quality levels. The challenge is not only building the capabilities in alignment with Global direction but also embedding the usage and application thereof within locations.

Furthermore, you have:

  • 6+ years in Procurement area, preferably at a strategic level in an international (financial services provider) organisation
  • Procurement Operations knowledge/experience
  • Data science and data analytics acumen
  • Process improvement/continuous improvement skills
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Analytical and data science skills
  • Quality and process orientation, ideally process improvement skillset such as a blackbelt
  • Agile and self-driven
