Information Assurance Windows Administrator (5149)

SMX is seeking a mid-level Information Assurance Windows System Administrator. The Administrator will support our NAWCAD customer at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor ticketing system for tasks
  • Monitor/Manage/Schedule/Forecast Upcoming IA Work
  • Work with a large variety of Data Center teams to alleviate Cyber findings and concerns
  • Attend collaboration meetings to address STIG/EvaluateSTIG discrepancies
  • Complete STIG checklists
  • ACAS scanning and reports
  • Support vulnerability detection, remediations, and mitigations

Required Skills/Experience

  • Clearance Required: Top Secret 
    • Interim TS required to start 
  • 2-4 years of Windows Administration experience
  • Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy and procedures to include hardening of systems, implementing STIGs, and scanning
  • Knowledge of NIST guidelines and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with administering Windows/Linux operating systems
  • DoD 8140 compliant certification (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
  • Detail-oriented and able to work multiple assignments autonomously and in a team setting
  • Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree
  • Advanced 8140 compliant certification

$73,100$121,800 USD
