The Opportunity
This position works out of Buenos Aires/ Argentina. In Abbott Core Lab division we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
As a Informatics Technical Specialist (ITS), you’ll have the chance to focused on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications and at the center of delivering on Abbott's consumer healthcare strategy. Core responsibilities of this role include complex IT implementation, testing, training, and escalation management. Along with the technical aptitude, understanding of clinical laboratory workflow, this role is client facing and individuals need to also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, project management and presentation skills and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing, and training of Abbott Digital applications, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.
Leverage technical IT and networking expertise to analyze user needs, gather customer requirements, and design integrated, scalable, and comprehensive health informatics solutions that enhance automation for clinical diagnostic healthcare clients.
The role requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to coordinate across a complex network of stakeholders, including sales representatives, laboratory managers, project managers, IT teams, HIS/LIS personnel, internal and external vendors, contractors, and senior management as needed.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree (Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate) of Computer Science, Information Systems, biomedical engineer, Medical or Hospital Informatics or related disciplines.
1 year of relevant healthcare or information technology experience preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership capability.
Demonstrated ability to learn and master new concepts.
