Duties & Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The Inertial Scientist 2 participates in the design, development, execution and implementation of inertial technology projects. Maintains specification integrity between production populations, public literature and internal information systems. Creates software and analysis tools to facilitate the production of inertial products.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze test data to characterize anomalies, performance trends, and improvement opportunities.

  • Verify population behaviors support acceptance test criteria and datasheet specifications.

  • Utilize prototype population test data to define initial ATC values and datasheet specifications.

  • Analyze inertial test data to determine statistical specifications.

  • Document analysis and results in customer releasable documents.

  • Communicate with design engineers, inertial scientists, and test personnel to facilitate the execution of inertial tests.

  • Develop production test tools that automate performance and reliability characterization.

  • Disseminate inertial knowledge and analytical approaches to test department trainees.

  • Support production analysis and FQA activities as needed.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an analytical role

  • Minimum 2 years of using python or equivalent in data analysis

  • Inertial sensor experience a plus

  • Adept with inertial parameter definitions and related dependencies

  • Statistical data analysis experience

  • Excellent analytical, planning, organization, and communication skills

  • Must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
