Purpose of Role
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Team aims to provide high-quality occupational health services to all Sanofi employees, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace.
The Occupational Health Specialist is responsible for implementing the Korea HSE Occupational Health program, collaborating with Senior Management, Line Management, and employees to ensure the effective implementation of a proactive Occupational Health Management System.
This role ensures compliance with the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act as well as Sanofi Global HSE standards. The incumbent will ensure accurate reporting of events, analysis of hazardous situations, and make regular measurements of strategies and platforms to assure improvement where necessary.
Priorities
Track, manage and consult on employee medical checkup results
Implement AllWell Program for employees
Manage the medical surveillance program to comply with Korean regulations including annual and medical surveillance assessments, health training, ergonomics program, and stress management
Provide primary care for injuries and illnesses on site, including effective nursing assessment skills, preparation of care plan, treatment, and referral
Develop return to work strategies following injuries or ill-health and support the processes of short- and long-term disability, and Worker's Compensation processes
Liaise with Service Providers, Insurance Carriers, Health Care Professionals, Management, and employees to ensure optimal recovery and an early and safe return to work
Manage the infectious disease program within the workplace (COVID-19, MERS, etc.)
Design, develop and deliver health promotion and wellness initiatives
Maintain an Occupational Health Medical Record System and Reports conforming with company and regulatory requirements to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
Keep up to date with legal and professional changes associated with Public Health, Occupational Health, and Worker's Compensation regulations in Korea
Subject Matter Expert and active member of Health and Safety committee/s
Work in partnership with HSE & WX Team regarding emergency response
Participate in Sanofi's Planet Mobilization environmental campaigns as needed

About you
Essential Skills and Experience
Good Communication Skills
English Fluency, spoken and written

Essential Qualifications
4-year University Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse in Korea
Or Industrial Hygiene Engineer or Industrial Hygiene Manager Certificate Holder
Essential Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in Nursing in a Hospital setting
Minimum 1 year experience in Industrial Health (Company Nurse)
Desirable Skills and Experience
Industrial Hygienist Certificate
Current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR and AED use
