Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Security Manager 2 to support the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit. This is an opportunity to apply proven security leadership skills in a dynamic and challenging program environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership and management of a team of security professionals working in every facet of security.
This is an immediate fill position based in Huntsville, AL.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of security professionals to ensure consistent application of the leadership characteristics that are expected of all employees within the organization in a high intensity, fast-paced environment
Manage complex programs, to include in-depth supply chain management, ensure compliance with government and company regulations and strive for excellence in executing program security milestones
Oversee program security activities and provide guidance to briefed personnel, to include supporting program managers in achieving key goals
Develop, apply and interpret program security metrics and apply findings to improve security operational efficiency
Interface with Program Leadership Team to meet on-time contract delivery requirements
Work with Program stakeholders to ensure security classification guidelines are being met and implemented across all contracts
Provide overall security guidance to briefed personnel through a continuous and robust education program
Be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast and dynamic environment
Manage security budget within an established target
Collaborate with internal and external teams, executive leadership and external agencies to deliver innovative and leading-edge security solutions
Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels
Additional responsibilities:
Interface with Business Development and Business Capture, providing security guidance on international business pursuits.
Work with Program management to generate quick turn Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and solicitation contracts.
Interface and oversee USG designated Trusted Agent for S-DREN token lifecycle to included: management, issuance, renewal, revocation, and inventory of all SIPR tokens.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying security requirements within a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to translate regulatory and contractual security requirements into practical, risk-based controls that support manufacturing operations without degrading schedule, cost, or quality.
This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance across multiple programs. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion. Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
8 years of security experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of security experience with a Masters; 15 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Must have an active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with an investigation date current within the last 6 years or enrolled in the DoD Continuous Vetting Program
Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Program Protection methodologies
Must have experience managing Industrial Security programs: Writing OPSEC plans, Program Protection Implementation Plans and SPPs
Must have OPSEC Level II certification
Ability to obtain Special Access Program access(es)
Knowledge and experience with ICD 705 construction and accreditation processes
Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
Prior experience supporting Agile/DevSecOps environment
Experience in Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales Contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to perform and manage diverse and dispersed security programs and teams across multiple disciplines (entire program security spectrum), to include Program/industrial Security, Information/Cyber Security, COMSEC, Physical Security, Personnel Security and International Security.
Prior experience leading proposal efforts: writing Basis of Estimates (BOE), labor forecasting, Statement-of-Work (SOW) reviews
Proven experience in planning and managing staffing and hiring processes for large teams, to include partnerships with HR, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers and program management leadership
Security+ certification
