Brice Equipment provides electrical, mechanical, and equipment services to support oil, gas, and construction operations throughout Alaska. Our fleet includes 400+ pieces of equipment designed for extreme environments, ranging from heavy construction machinery to mobile support equipment. What can you expect?

As the Industrial Program Services Technician I, you will work in Arizona and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of conveyor belting, rubber components, and related process equipment used in mining, oil & gas, and heavy industrial applications. You will support senior technicians and learn industry-standard splicing methods, safety procedures, and equipment operations. Working under the direction of the Industrial Program Services General Foreman, you will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of material handling and process systems critical to client operations.

How will you do it?

  • Assist in preparing conveyor belts for mechanical or vulcanized splicing.
  • Help with measuring, cutting, grinding, buffing, and skiving belt materials.
  • Set up and break down vulcanizing equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Support vulcanized splice processes under supervision.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools: grinders, cutters, drills, impact guns, etc.
  • Follow belt installation procedures: tracking, tensioning, and alignment.
  • Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Complete basic field paperwork (splice reports, belt logs, QAQC checks).
  • Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Always follow MSHA/OSHA safety rules, job hazard analyses, and lockout/tagout.
  • Assist in troubleshooting belt damage, mistracking, and common conveyor issues.
  • Ability to adapt to work being performed from belts to preventive maintenance.
  • Learn preventive maintenance, change roller, pulleys, chutes, bearings, shafts, etc.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to use hand/power tools safely.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately (to 1/16”).
  • Willingness to learn technical procedures and industry standards.
  • Ability be able to follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work long shifts, nights, or weekends as required.
  • Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and around heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to travel long distances, stay out of town on projects for 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed.
  • Positive team-building attitude, understanding that we are here to work together as a team.
  • Ability to work safely in physically demanding, industrial, and remote environments.
  • Ability to work in a Native Corporation multi-business environment.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

Who is Brice Equipment LLC looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Ability to meet requirements for industrial or mining sites required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Working Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Brice Equipment has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. This is a site-based role requiring regular presence at client facilities in mining, oil & gas, or industrial settings both indoor and outdoor at times. The position may require extended shifts, weekend work, rotational schedules, and travel depending on project scope and location. This position will be exposed to heavy industrial environments with strict adherence to safety standards. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and overtime for immediate field support may be necessary.
