At the Marston Green Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) UK facility, we we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.
To support our existing business and enable future growth we are offering a 12-month Industrial Placement opportunity to join a team dedicated to ensuring products meet global quality standards and exceed customer expectations. You’ll help drive improvements, support engineers and technicians, and play a key part in shaping how the business grows and evolves.
What you will do:
• Work hands-on with the MRO team to enhance operational performance and support repair activities.
• Champion quality across the organisation by supporting the implementation of effective policies and procedures.
• Represent the business during customer interactions, building trust and confidence in the quality of products and services.
• Support internal and external audits, contributing to regulatory compliance and continuous process excellence.
• Help develop the Part 145 Safety Management System, tracking key performance indicators and creating reports for leadership.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, driving smarter, safer, and more efficient operational processes.
• Participate in investigations, supporting root-cause analysis and the development and validation of corrective actions.
• Monitor production and business unit performance, using data analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Build competency in ERP, organisational, regulatory, and supplier systems, including ETQ.
• Communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the organisation on quality-related matters.
• Support the introduction of new products, ensuring quality expectations are understood and met from day one.
• Represent the business professionally in customer and supplier engagements, promoting confidence and constructive collaboration.
• Participate in STEM events as an ambassador for the business, inspiring future generations.
• Occasional travel to gain exposure to suppliers, customers, and global operations.
What you will learn:
In this role you will work at the heart of a dynamic Repair & Overhaul (R&O) operation where you will learn how world-class products are repaired, rebuilt, and returned to service. During your placement you will:
Gain hands-on experience with real engineering processes and quality systems.
Build professional confidence through customer and supplier interactions.
Work on meaningful improvement projects that make a visible impact.
Develop a strong foundation in audits, safety systems, compliance, and continuous improvement—skills that are highly valued across engineering industries.
Collaborate with experts and mentors who want to help you grow.
Skills and Experience Required:
This Industrial Placement opportunity is ideally suited to you if you are passionate about problem-solving, quality, and making things work. You will be studying towards a relevant degree in Engineering, Quality, or another relevant technical discipline and be available to complete a 12-month placement starting in the Summer of 2026. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
