As our new certified industrial hygienist, you will be a part of a team that identifies, evaluates, and controls harmful exposures to help policyholders improve the safety, health, and well-being of their employees. Responsibilities:
This position requires driving a SAIF vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of SAIF. The incumbent is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence along with an acceptable driving record according to SAIF’s policy.
Plan and perform complex industrial hygiene audits and analyses at policyholders’ work sites to assess compliance with occupational health regulations and standards to reduce and/or eliminate occupational health risks.
Investigate occupational disease claims.
Prepare and deliver technical reports outlining observations, audit and analysis findings, and recommendations for control measures to policyholders.
Develop and provide industrial hygiene and occupational health information, publications, training materials, and presentations for policyholders and internal staff.
Provide technical consultation for internal staff to assess risk in current and prospective policyholder work sites.
Advise and consult with legal counsel and provide testimony at hearings.

The following qualifications are recommended:
Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in industrial hygiene with demonstrated skill in assessing and managing complex industrial hygiene problems. Experience providing industrial hygiene services to policyholders in a workers’ compensation or other insurance environment is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or a related science. Professional designation as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or the ability to obtain the CIH designation within an agreed-upon timeframe.

Compensation & Benefits
Typical hiring range: $111,588 - $131,280. The pay range for this position is annually based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications & education.SAIF provides a wide range of benefits to employees who work at least 20 hours per week, including health care, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and more.
