Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the 737 Program team located in Everett, WA.

In this role, you will lead an organization of Industrial Engineers supporting our 737 Program North Line teams based in Everett, WA.  You will report to the North Line Senior Industrial Engineering leader for the 737 Program. You will partner with other functional leaders in the business unit (e.g. Operations, Quality, etc.) to increase production stability and achieve organizational goals. In addition, you will participate in start-up activities for this new assembly location as well as strong integration across the different program sites.

Initial on-site training in Renton, WA will be needed during the first 60-90 days in the role.  Following that, there will be regular but not frequent requirements to work from Renton, WA.

Position responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis and improvement activities throughout the business units. 

  • Development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives.

  • Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of future technologies while looking for process improvements. 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Align to BCA Industrial Engineering Digital Transformation strategies and technologies (under guidance from BCA IE Core Digital Transformation Team).

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. 

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualification (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering.

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Use of Systematic Problem Solving

  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project or process goals.

  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.
