Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer to join our Human Resources and Labor Relations team. This unique role blends traditional IE responsibilities with a strong focus on workforce analytics, labor-cost optimization, and incentive-program design. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven mindset to support strategic decision-making around labor utilization, overtime management, and performance-based compensation.
Summary of Responsibilities
Analyze workforce data to identify trends in labor utilization, overtime, absenteeism, and productivity.
Develop and maintain labor standards, time studies, and engineered work measurements.
Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Finance to evaluate and improve incentive pay programs.
Support labor relations initiatives by providing data and insights for contract negotiations and grievance resolution.
Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key labor metrics.
Partner with HRIS and IT to ensure data integrity and accessibility for workforce analytics.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and statistical tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, workforce analytics, or labor optimization.
Experience with labor standards and incentive systems.
Familiarity with union environments and labor agreements is a plus.
