Industrial Designer – R&D
OUR ROLE
We are looking for a passionate Industrial Designer to join our innovative R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and curious individual - whether you are a recent graduate or have a few years of experience - to help shape the future of design at Fiskars Group.
In this role, you will transform insights into meaningful product solutions, create compelling visual concepts, and contribute to the development of products that combine functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and bring fresh perspectives to our design process.

This position is based either in Espoo or Billnäs factory, Finland, and reports to our Lead Industrial Designer, R&D. The role is full-time and hybrid.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS GROUP
Responsibilities:
Generate innovative product concepts based on user insights and design research.
Create functional and presentation-quality prototypes (analog and digital).
Compose compelling visual stories to communicate design proposals.
Ensure alignment with Fiskars’ Product DNA and brand guidelines.
Collaborate with engineering and product management to ensure feasibility and quality.
Stay ahead of design trends and bring unique perspectives to projects.
WHO YOU ARE
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or equivalent (recent graduates welcome).
Exceptional visualization skills and a refined sense of form.
Curious, creative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite.
Familiarity with prototyping tools and methods.
Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
