DPR Construction is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant with 4+ years of experience, who wants to be a part of a great team. This is a full-time role with a hybrid office schedule that will be based out of our Sacramento office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and review Sales & Use and Business Personal Property tax returns
Conduct complex tax research to support compliance and planning initiatives
Reconcile tax liability accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Handle external and internal sales tax audits for company projects
Resolve tax notices in a timely and accurate manner
Streamline and automate tax processes to improve efficiency
Collaborate with the Tax Team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance
We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have:
Requirements:
Minimum of four years of Sales & Use Tax experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to perform complex tax research
Ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
Strong work ethic and a “can-do anything” attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desire to grow and take on new challenges
Preferred Experience:
Construction industry experience
Knowledge of Texas Sales & Use Tax
Experience using Alteryx
CPA certification
Master’s degree in Tax
Anticipated starting pay range:
