Position Overview:
This is a key role within Convatec Business Services [CBS] driving compliance and setting the standard for accuracy and governance. The Indirect Procurement Associate role will support Indirect Procurement Team Leader and Senior Team Members delivering excellence by providing quality support to our stakeholders, whilst ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, compliance and company purchasing guidance.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Indirect Purchasing Associate in one of our Convatec Business Services Centre, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in driving compliance and setting the standard for accuracy and governance.

​Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support Indirect Procurement Team Leader and Senior Team Members in decision making process.

  • Be a key driver in promoting compliance and policy adhesion, promoting best practices to global requesters.

  • Subject matter expert and “go to” person for master data who will work with the business users to education, train, and assist them with master data management.

  • Ensuring new vendor requests are accurate and are challenged in line with the PSL

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction (KPI/survey)

  • Work with the business to correct data errors found in the master data on an ongoing basis.

  • Process requests for creation, amendment, blocking/unblocking, extending and flagging master data for deletion within quality targets and SLAs set and with appropriate approvals.


Critical thinking must be employed to understand if a request is in line with CVT policies and rules or should be questioned. In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders such as the Global Procurement, Business Stakeholders, suppliers and Finance Department across the business including our other CBS teams in Kuala Lumpur and Bogota, CoE’s as well as our Corporate, Commercial and Market teams.

You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed


Skills & Experience:

  • Problem Solving Mindset

  • Teamwork & Communication

  • Knowledge of Purchasing and Catalogue Maintenance (not mandatory)



Qualifications/Education:

  • Finance qualification is preferred

  • SAP Experience 2-3 years

  • Previous Experience in SSC

  • Fluent Portuguese and English – Additional Languages can be a plus.

  • Previous master data management experience in SAP

  • Good interpersonal skills with excellent customer service and a “can do” attitude.



Travel Requirements

  • Position may involve travel 5-10% of the time, but overseas travel can be also expected. Most trips will include overnight travel
