Job description

We are seeking a motivated Associate to join our Independence function within Internal Firm Services. As an Independence Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's compliance with independence requirements, particularly in the areas of scope of services. This role will lead you to actively participate in our network’s Independence Assessment Center of Excellence, serving as a subject matter resource for independence matters.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to colleagues on independence policies and regulations related to non-audit services, helping to assess and review service offerings to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards. You will collaborate with team members to evaluate proposed engagements, identify potential independence risks, and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the Center of Excellence.

Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards will help safeguard the firm's reputation and build trust with clients and stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional with an interest in compliance and risk management to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment. You will be empowered to learn, grow, and make a positive impact as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

A career in Risk & Compliance Management, within Internal Firm Services (IFS), will provide you with the opportunity to focus on monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help PwC employees to manage their responsibilities.

As a Independence & Compliance support officer, you’ll make an impact by:

  • Help maintain client trust and regulatory compliance, protecting the firm from potential conflicts of interest and reputational risks.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for independence-related queries, empowering colleagues to navigate complex requirements confidently and efficiently.
  • Take a proactive approach and demonstrate a keen eye for process improvement to enhance the effectiveness of the Independence Assessment Center of Excellence.
  • Safeguard the firm's standards and foster a culture of ethical awareness and continuous learning within the team.
  • Support the growth and sustainability of PwC’s business by ensuring that high standards of professionalism and compliance are consistently met.

About You
