This posting is to fill multiple Income Maintenance Caseworker (IMC) II to North Carolina's Medicaid. This role is hybrid: partial work-from-home with occasional work in the office and this position is posted until filled.

In this role you will receive several weeks of on-the-job training before working one-on-one with customers. This position makes a difference in people’s lives—what IMCs do matters. They are helping families and children have access medicaid or helping pregnant women, children and elderly individuals have access to medical care. Buncombe County is seeking Income Maintenance Caseworkers. This position offers a robust training program and a defined career development plan. Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to ensure all eligible individuals receive timely public assistance benefits by determining or re-determining eligibility of Buncombe County residents applying for public assistance across multiple Income Maintenance programs.
Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience (required at time of hire): Associate’s degree in Human Services Technology, Social Services, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum and two (2) years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering, and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical, legal tasks or determining eligibility (or one (1) year of Income Maintenance experience); or graduation from high school and three (3) years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering, and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical, legal tasks or determining eligibility; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional Training and Experience: English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred
