Incentive Travel Account Manager

Works from Home (Job Posting) Full time

The primary duties of the Incentive Travel Account Manager are:

  • Lead contract negotiations with hotels, air/ground transportation, and special event suppliers to develop comprehensive travel program options for the client.

  • Collaborate with AAA Corporate Travel Sales Team to support new client sourcing, prepare joint client presentations, and provide updates on existing client accounts.

  • Ensure that all key internal client service areas are aligned with client’s business goals.

  • Maintain a role model approach in all internal/external interactions that are related to the client.

  • Develop and maintain a SWOT analysis on top tier accounts that includes both client and Provident Travel impacts.

  • Share best practices/results with the Provident Incentive Travel team.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and greater revenue/loyalty penetration by listening beyond product/service needs.

  • Partner across department lines to accurately make financial recommendations/understand the ROI for Provident Travel and the client.

  • Deliver financial results to procurement and C-level client stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate the ability to identify “wins” in order to negotiate in conflict resolution.

  • Use office products effectively to self-support financial analysis and client-facing communication and formal presentations.

  • Connect with Travel Technology team to understand new developments in travel technology that can increase customer satisfaction or provide cost savings opportunities for the client.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the use of current 3rd party BI Tool utilized in AAA CTS. 

  • Meet regularly with Provident Incentive Specialists to ensure client goals are understood and on track for completion.

  • Coordinate handoff of transactional inquiries to Provident Incentive Specialists but remain connected to any VIP service recovery issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields and

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in travel, customer service, and/or account management, with business-to-business experience preferred.

  • Completion of CTA within one year of position acceptance, and CTC within two years.

  • Ability to respond positively to clients, make recommendations, and interact with individuals at various levels of responsibility.

  • Maintain strong customer focus and work with a sense of urgency.

  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, Word/Excel, etc.

To the qualified candidate, we offer:

Compensation: The starting base compensation for this position is

$54,000 - $65,000/yr; commensurate with experience

  The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
