JD:
A Power BI Senior Associate (typically 4–8 years experience) designs, develops, and deploys advanced Power BI dashboards, writes complex DAX/SQL, and models data to drive business insights. They bridge technical teams and stakeholders, mentoring juniors, optimizing report performance, and ensuring data security.
Responsibilities
Visualization & Development: Create interactive, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards, incorporating advanced DAX, Power Query (M language), and UI/UX best practices.
Data Modeling & ETL: Connect to diverse data sources, clean, transform, and shape data using SQL and Power Query.
Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize slow-performing reports, datasets, and complex SQL queries.
Power BI Service Management: Configure on-premise gateways, manage scheduled refreshes, and handle workspace security (Row Level Security - RLS).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather requirements from business users, translate them into technical specs, and present insights.
Mentorship: Guide junior team members and conduct code/report reviews to ensure quality.
Mandatory skill sets:Strong Proficiency in Power BI Desktop/Service, SQL, DAX, and Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema).
Tools: Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, or R is often preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300/DA-100) is highly desirable
Preferred skill sets:Strong Proficiency in Power BI Desktop/Service, SQL, DAX, and Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema).
