Job Description & Summary: A career within Global Tax & Operations
Responsibilities:
· Review of VAT returns for Middle east region with strong technical knowledge · Work with business in understanding the queries and resolving them with respect to VAT · Review data for completeness and accuracy; coordinate follow-ups as needed · Help tax leaders identify the tax risks and recommend actions · Drive change through transition of work for Clients from UAE location to global center including setting-up and expansion of tax COE · Work with local leadership in developing the tax function · Develop control checklist and ensure strong governance including checks on the quality of returns · Support audit-related data collection and response preparation · Contribute to software implementation/migration efforts and process improvement initiatives
Mandatory skill sets:
Strong background in UAE VAT and Indirect tax compliance
Preferred skill sets:
• Big 4 accounting firm or a large U.S.-based multinational corporation • • Familiarity with tax preparation and tools knowledge is preferred
