Job Description & Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ignition Developer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade IIoT solutions using Ignition. The candidate will work on high-throughput OT data ingestion, industrial integrations (OPC UA, MQTT), Unified Namespace (UNS), real-time dashboards, visualization components, and scalable deployment architectures.
This role requires strong expertise in Ignition Gateway, scripting, tag modeling, Perspective/Vision projects, OPC server integrations, and end-to-end OT–IT data flow.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for infrastructure setup to host Ignition and its associated software
· Finalizing Ignition deployment architecture along with VMs specifications and HA enablement
· Configuring Ignition to ingest tag data from various sources (e.g. KepserverEX, OPC Server, etc.)
· Configuring Ignition for UNS implementation.
· Establish data exchange mechanisms with systems like MES, ERP, Digital Logbook with Ignition
· Configure Ignition to transmit tag data to cloud (IoT Platform / Cloud IoT Services) with zero data loss capabilities (due to network disconnect)
· Configure Ignition to store tag data on edge server database (SQL / NoSQL / Timeseries DB)
· Developing screens on Ignition to showcase real-time tag data and KPIs
· Creating Custom Scripts using Derived Tags, to manage, interface with DB, Cloud Platforms
· Helping the development team with best practice guidance of Ignition and creating low level technical design document.
Mandatory skill sets:
· Strong experience in Ignition setup in HA production environments, with the ability to define best-practice architectures based on tag volume and sources
· Hands-on experience with large-scale Ignition systems (~50K tags) from multiple data sources
· Solid understanding and implementation of UNS (Unified Namespace) best practices in Ignition
· Proficiency in Ignition Python scripting, including:
o Custom logic using Derived Tags & Queries
o Managing time-series data in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
o Creating and sending custom JSON payloads to cloud platforms
· Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB)
· Hands-on experience with Azure IoT Hub, Azure Injector, and Ignition cloud integrations
· Working knowledge of OPC connectivity in Ignition
· Ability to create Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
· Hands-on experience with Ignition Screen Development, Visualization (Perspective, Vision)

· Experience with Edge computing (Azure IoT Injector/Hub)
· Experience with Ignition’s third-party plugin Azure Injector, MongoDB
· Knowledge of time-series databases
· Experience in Domain like Metal and Mining/ Steel Industries
· Experience with ERP, EAM/EMMS, and MES integrations
· Experience with Kepware Tag & UA Configuration
Years of experience required:
3 ~ 6 Years’ Experience as Ignition Developer.
Education qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech / MCA/ M.E/ M.TECH/ MBA/ PGDM. All qualifications should be in regular full-time mode with no extension of course duration due to backlogs.
Relevant certifications Ignition (Core / Gold) are a plus
