In SAP technology at PwC, you will specialise in utilising and managing SAP software and solutions within an organisation. You will be responsible for tasks such as installation, configuration, administration, development, and support of SAP products and technologies.

Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture

Architect end‑to‑end solutions on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry + Kyma optional).
Design and review CAP‑based backend applications, service layers, and domain models.
Lead architecture for UI5/Fiori apps using modern UI5, Fiori elements, and flexible programming models.
Ensure scalable, secure, and high‑performance designs aligned with SAP BTP reference architectures.

AI & Intelligent Automation (BTP‑focused)

Architect and integrate AI services on BTP:
- SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad
- GenAI Hub
- Joule integration
- SAP Document Information Extraction, Conversational AI (if applicable)
Work with LLM‑based extensions and AI inference pipelines.

Development Guidance

Provide technical leadership to CAP developers, UI5 developers, and integration engineers.
Define coding standards, DevOps practices, and reusable architecture patterns.
Review technical designs, data models, and service specifications.

BTP Build Apps / Workflow (Good to have)

Design low‑code/no‑code apps using SAP Build Apps.
Configure Build Process Automation workflows and rule-based decisions.

Integration (Nice to have)

Exposure to SAP CPI (Cloud Integration) for process- and data-level integrations.
Knowledge of BTP Event Mesh, API Management, and destination-based communication.

Non‑HANA Focused Backend

Ability to architect systems that use:
- PostgreSQL
- SQLite for CAP local dev
- External DBaaS (e.g., hyperscalers)
Experience designing multi-service solutions without relying on HANA-specific features.

Governance & Quality

Ensure secure-by-design principles (OAuth, XSUAA, IAS).
Manage API versioning, service contracts, and lifecycle.
Guide CI/CD pipelines using SAP CI/CD or GitHub Actions.

Mandatory skill sets:

10+ years overall software development/architecture experience.
4+ years hands‑on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry).
Expert in CAP (Node.js or Java) including CDS modeling, multi-tenancy, and service extensibility.
Strong UI5/Fiori architecture experience (Fiori elements, flexible programming model, UX patterns).
Solid understanding of AI services on BTP (AI Core, GenAI Hub, Joule, AI Launchpad).
Experience designing secure services (XSUAA, OAuth2, JWT, scopes/roles).
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture (microservices, multi-target apps, event-driven design).

Preferred skill sets:

SAP CPI integration flows
SAP Build Apps / Build Work Zone / BPA
SAP Event Mesh, API Management
Kyma / Kubernetes basics
Knowledge of BTP cost optimization and account structuring

Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to lead technical teams and architecture reviews
Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews
Problem-solving mindset and ability to simplify complex concepts
