Job Description & Summary:
As an Embedded/Firmware Engineer, you'll work on connected devices — RTOS, sensor drivers, low-power design, and OTA update mechanisms. This is a key profile in Digital Engineering team; without it, IoT projects stall at the physical layer. Join us to bring hardware to life and shape PwC's Digital Engineering capability.
Responsibilities:
Develop firmware for connected devices using Embedded C/C++ and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
Implement wireless protocol stacks: BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT
Design low-power embedded systems for battery-operated industrial devices
Architect and implement OTA firmware update mechanisms
Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration
Integrate with industrial automation systems: KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Rockwell Automation
Mandatory skill sets:
Embedded C/C++ programming
RTOS: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX
Wireless protocols: BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, WiFi
Industrial automation: KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Rockwell Automation controllers
Low-power hardware design
OTA firmware update architecture
Hardware debugging: JTAG, SWD, logic analysers
Preferred skill sets:
Work on transformational programmes with global industrial and manufacturing leaders.
