The SAP ABAP Associate will be part of the ABAP development team within the SAP delivery center, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of SAP solutions that meet business requirements. This role involves hands-on coding, debugging, and supporting SAP applications under the guidance of senior developers and managers. The associate will collaborate with functional consultants and technical teams to implement enhancements, reports, and integrations in both ECC and S/4HANA environments.
Responsibilities
Development & Support: Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects). Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in SAP systems. Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants (FICO, SD, MM, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Coordinate with senior developers and managers to ensure timely delivery of tasks. Quality & Standards: Follow SAP development best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews and unit testing to ensure quality deliverables. Learning & Innovation: Stay updated with modern ABAP techniques (CDS views, OData services, Fiori/UI5 basics). Explore new SAP technologies such as S/4HANA and SAP BTP under mentorship. Documentation: Prepare technical documentation for developed objects and ensure compliance with project standards
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development (2–4 years). Knowledge of classical ABAP programming (reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms). Exposure to modern ABAP concepts such as CDS views, OData services, and integration with Fiori/UI5. Basic understanding of integration technologies (BAPIs, IDocs, RFC). Familiarity with debugging and performance analysis tools (e.g., ST05, ST12). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Good communication skills to interact with technical and functional teams
This role is based in an SAP delivery center office environment. Associates may need to coordinate with global teams across different time zones and should be open to learning and growing in a fast-paced environment.
