Responsibilities: 

• Design and optimize data models to enhance analytics and visualization within Looker. 

• Develop and maintain data models for the Enterprise Semantic Layer to support scalable reporting. 

• Implement and manage security governance within the Looker environment, including row-level security (RLS) and data access controls. 

• Possess a deep understanding of LookML fundamentals and create dimensions, measures, and derived tables to support complex data exploration. 

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align data projects with business objectives and maintain data integrity. 

• Support migration of dashboards and reports from MicroStrategy to Looker. 

• Optimize SQL queries, primarily for Google BigQuery, to improve performance and efficiency. 

• Leverage GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataproc in data workflows. 

• Utilize Python for automation and scripting to enhance data processing. 

• Apply version control (GIT) for managing LookML code and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Strong proficiency in LookML & Looker Core, including advanced features such as: 

o Caching queues and rebuilding Persistent Derived Tables (PDTs). 

o Liquid parameters for dynamic data exploration. 

o Aggregate awareness for optimized querying. 

o GIT integration for version control. 

• Expertise in SQL, especially in designing optimized queries for Google BigQuery. 

• Experience with Looker Studio Pro for building interactive data visualizations. 

• Restrict access to dashboards and projects to ensure appropriate data security and governance. 

• Schedule dashboards and reports for automated delivery to relevant stakeholders. 

• Practical knowledge of MicroStrategy, with experience in migration or integration a plus. 

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, etc.). 

• Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation in data workflows. 

• Understanding of data security best practices and implementing row-level security (RLS). 

• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\ 

Experience in Retail/e-Commerce. 

Practical knowledge of MicroStrategy, with experience in migration or integration a plus. 

Knowledge on Python 

Mandatory skill sets: 

Look ML, Looker/Looker Core,Looker Studio Pro,Writing & Optimizing SQL Queries, Experience with Google Big Query, 

Advanced LookML Skills: Such as caching queues, rebuilding PDTs (Persistent Derived Tables), Liquid Parameters, Dynamic Data Querying, using aggregate awareness to make database querying more efficient, GIT Integration 

preferred skill sets: 

Experience in Retail/e-Commerce.
