Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, lies the secluded retreat of Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, an oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five-star, five-diamond Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lāna’i, a kid’s club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques. Built on lava outcroppings, the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-signature golf course features ocean views on every hole. IN ROOM DINING COORDINATOR  

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for an In Room Dining Coordinator who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

The In Room Dining Coordinator manages guest in‑room dining orders via phone, iPad, and messaging platforms, ensuring accurate communication of special requests to the kitchen. This role coordinates timely delivery of all orders in accordance with Four Seasons standards and prepares, organizes, and follows through on all guest amenities to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests  

  • Utilize hotel computer systems and point‑of‑sale platforms to accurately enter and communicate guest in‑room dining orders, including all special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergy information, to the culinary team. 

  • Review completed kitchen orders against the original guest request to ensure accuracy, presentation, and quality prior to delivery. 

  • Coordinate timely and seamless delivery of in‑room dining orders by Room Service Servers to maintain optimal food quality and an elevated guest experience. 

  • Properly and accurately close guest checks, record charges and gratuities, and ensure all transactions are completed in accordance with Four Seasons standards. 

  • Meticulously document and manage guest preferences, special instructions, dietary needs, and daily amenity deliveries, maintaining accurate and organized records at all times. 

  • Answer incoming calls using warm, professional, and efficient telephone etiquette while gathering all necessary information to process guest orders. Describe food and beverage offerings through engaging, vivid descriptions that highlight each item’s origin, flavor profile, and preparation. 

  • Proactively anticipate guest needs, confirm satisfaction, offer thoughtful recommendations, and respond promptly and graciously to guest concerns and requests. 

  • Coordinate guest amenity deliveries by ensuring all requests are received, processed, ordered from the kitchen, and delivered accurately and promptly.

WHAT TO BRING 

  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 

  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. 

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card and Hawaii Food Handler’s Card    

  • Maui Liquor Card Preferred, but not required   

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts  

  • Demonstrates strong customer‑service focus with keen attention to detail, professionalism, and composure in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment; maintains an organized workspace and collaborates effectively within a team. 

  • Possesses excellent communication and telephone etiquette, solid menu and ingredient knowledge, and the ability to multitask and prioritize orders; proficient in basic computer systems and POS platforms, with the ability to communicate accurately and professionally by phone.
