In-house Legal Counsel - Generalist

Job Description & Summary

As a member of the PwC Central and Eastern European Office of General Counsel (CEE OGC), you will act as a trusted legal adviser and business partner to a wide range of internal stakeholders across PwC firms in Mongolia. You will work closely with our lines of service and support teams, helping them navigate legal requirements, manage risks, and make confident decisions. The role requires sound legal knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to apply judgement to deliver advice that is not only technically correct but also practical and commercially sensible.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Support four PwC Mongolia entities — across all legal affairs, regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.

  • Support Human Capital team forwith drafting, reviewing and updating legal documents relating to employment matters.

  • Review and negotiate contracts with clients and, vendors, and other third parties.

  • Draft internal corporate documents and other legal instruments required to support daily operations.

  • Consult the firm with respect to various legal matters, assessment of legal risks of current and proposed business deals.

  • Research and analyze complex legal issues and prepare clear, well‑reasoned legal memoranda.

  • Monitor legal/regulatory changes that affect PwC businesses in Mongolia and advise the management on regulatory compliance matters.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal teams and help cultivate strong risk awareness and legal discipline across the firm.

  • Work in close cooperation with the CEE OGC team on various regional legal projects with an opportunity to contribute to legal support of other PwC territories, mostly across the Eurasia region.

What you will bring along

  • A law degree with strong knowledge of Mongolian laws and regulations.

  • Experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory legal work—ideally in professional services or a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills in both English and Mongolian, with confidence in drafting legal documents and contracts.

  • Clear communication skills to explain complex topics and build positive relationships.

  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Curiosity, project ownership, service mindset, and comfort in multi-stakeholder environments.

  • High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
