Maersk Logistics & Services handles end-to-end warehousing, distribution, and transportation logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. This position provides legal support to Maersk’s contracting teams. The primary focus is on commercial customer and procurement contracting, but is also expected to take on additional tasks that may be assigned from time to time, including litigation support, labor and employment, and other strategic projects.
Daily responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage logistics customer contracts as well as a broad variety of critical procurement contracts.
Support risk management and safety team initiatives.
Participate in strategic transactions and help drive the overall growth strategy.
Support real estate lease negotiation and management.
Provide litigation support, including assisting with discovery responses, case management, communications with and management of outside counsel, coordinating witness interviews, gathering information and overall litigation strategy.
Conduct legal research and provide legal advice on key issues affecting the company.
Become familiar with laws and regulations affecting the company including Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier (FMCSA), labor and employment, privacy, OSHA, etc. and assist the company with compliance in these areas.
Skills and Education:
JD required.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an attorney.
Transactional/Contract draft and review experience required.
Industry related experience a plus.
Ability to communicate with confidence at any level of the organization.
Excellence in collaboration with team members yet able to work independently

Pay Range:
$168,000-$175,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
