Job Description & Summary

We are looking for an In-house Accountant to join our Finance team within Internal Firm Services of PwC Bulgaria.

A career in our Finance team, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the internal Finance function, including financial and management accounting, management and statutory reporting, tax reporting and compliance, data integrity, control and analysis, accounts reconciliations, and monthly closing.

You will further develop your professional expertise through the use of multiple ERP systems and advanced accounting and reporting tools.

Part of your daily responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accounting books and records in accordance with the Bulgarian Accounting Act, International Financial Reporting Standards, National Accounting Standards, and firm accounting policies, with a strong focus on the accuracy and reliability of data used for management and statutory reporting; 

  • Actively contribute to Corporate Income Tax and Value Added Tax processes from a reporting, analysis, and planning perspective, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders; 

  • Participate in the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing use of ERP, BI, and CRM systems, supporting management reporting, performance analysis, and process automation; 

  • Contribute to management reporting, financial analysis, and interpretation of results, supporting internal stakeholders in decision‑making processes; 

  • Work with and be a subject matter expert for all ERP, BI and CRM systems.

What we are looking for: 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; 

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial controlling, or management reporting roles; 

  • Good knowledge of National Accounting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards, and local tax regulations, with the ability to interpret their impact on management and statutory reporting;  

  • Previous experience in implementation, processes set-up and work with ERP, BI and CRM systems; 

  • Proficiency in English; 

  • Excellent skills in Excel; 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 

  • Previous experience in an accounting or professional services firm is considered a strong advantage.
