Implementation Specialist I

Basic Job Function:

The Implementation Specialist I helps clients set up, update, and use LexisNexis Risk APIs and Web Services. The role also supports testing, issue resolution, reporting, and team process improvements to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide fundamental API technical support to new, existing, or migrating Direct API customers for Business Services’ products.

  • Keep implementation, post-production, and migration project plans up to date with status of activities.

  • Communicate technical terms to customers, sales, and internal staff of varying levels of technical understanding.

  • Manage or participate in departmental projects and tasks that improve the productivity of the team.

  • Complete required training and skill development to support the client base, individual developmental needs, team objectives, department goals, and company initiatives.

  • Provide post-production testing support directly to external clients and sales teams.

  • Audit test data within test environments.

  • Assist API Consultants Team with implementation and post-production tasks.

  • Assist management with reporting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 1-2 Years in a Technical Customer Support role, Customer Support call center, Vendor Management role, or Customer Relations role.

  • Fundamental proficiency with Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience with PowerBI as well as the ability and desire to learn new tools and techniques.

  • Strong consultative and customer‑focused skills with active listening

  • Proven ability to resolve issues using data and analytical tools

  • Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences

  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills

  • Collaborative team player with strong relationship‑building skills

  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and open to learning and new approaches

  • Demonstrates leadership, sound judgment, and problem‑solving ability

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives

Desired Technologies Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with XML programming technologies – SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) or JSON/RESTful API (Representational State Transfer)

  • Familiarity with SoapUI, ReadyAPI, Postman, Visual Studio, Apache Axis, or Java is an advantage.

  • Project Management Tools (Confluence, Sharepoint & Alfresco)

  • Some Experience with Salesforce, JIRA, or Confluence is an advantage

  • Above average knowledge of Excel - (Vlookup, Hlookup, (experience with Excel Macros is an advantage)), SQL, and Python
