Axle

Implementation Specialist

New York, US Full-time

About the role

Who are we looking for?

Axle is looking for an Implementation Specialist who will lead the successful launch, integration, and go-live of our automotive clients, ensuring they are set up to operationalize insurance data within their workflows from day one.

As an Implementation Specialist, you will own the end-to-end deployment of Axle for new customers, driving technical integrations, workflow configuration, and launch readiness. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Partnerships to deliver seamless launches and build scalable, repeatable implementation processes.

You will wear many hats and help build the operational foundation that powers Axle's growth as we scale.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead onboarding and implementation for dealer and rental customers by building trusted relationships with decision-makers, technical stakeholders, and daily operational users of Axle.
  • Drive successful launches by scoping integration requirements, managing project timelines, and guiding customers through API integration, UAT, and go-live.
  • Develop deep expertise in each client's technology stack, workflows, Axle integrations, and the broader automotive insurance landscape to provide tailored technical guidance and configuration recommendations.
  • Build and refine repeatable implementation playbooks, runbooks, and tooling that reduce time-to-launch and improve deployment quality across dealer and rental markets.
  • Own implementation milestones and kickoff-to-launch KPIs; track time-to-value, integration health, and launch readiness to ensure every customer hits production successfully.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Axle teams to identify friction in the implementation process, and implement new methods and tooling to consistently exceed launch targets.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally during implementation by translating technical feedback from dealerships, rental operators, and their IT teams into actionable insights for Product and Engineering.

What would set you up for success?

  • Beneficial to have experience implementing software for automotive, fleet, dealership, rental car, or automotive insurance programs, particularly in a B2B or enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementation, solutions engineering, technical account management, or professional services
  • Grit, enthusiasm, and a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to partner closely with sales and engineering leadership to drive successful customer launches
  • Strong technical generalist with sharp product intuition and a track record of driving complex integrations to successful go-live
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, ambiguous environment and excitement to build processes and tooling from the ground up
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies, APIs, integrations, and complex technical concepts
  • Ability to solve complex client challenges through creative problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and conferences (at least twice per month)

What would be even better?

  • 6+ years of enterprise implementation or technical program management experience
  • Previous experience in B2B technology, automotive (dealer or rental), insurance, lending, or mortgage industries
  • Experience implementing software for dealers, rental car companies, fleet operators, OEMs, or large multi-location enterprise groups
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations, webhooks, and system-to-system data flows
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with Product and Engineering to deliver successful client launches
