What You Will Do

The Implementation Manager is responsible for leading the successful deployment of RFID solutions from solution design through go-live. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure RFID implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements. The Implementation Manager owns solution design activities, translating operational needs into scalable, reliable technical architectures, and acts as the customer interface for data integration requirements. Lead end-to-end implementation of RFID deployments across customer sites, including planning, coordination, execution, and go-live support

Serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact during customer deployments

Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage installation schedules, site readiness, and hardware/software setup

Oversee system testing, validation, and customer acceptance to ensure performance and accuracy standards are met

Identify, track, and mitigate deployment risks, issues, and dependencies

Design RFID solutions based on customer requirements, use cases, and operational workflows

Create detailed solution designs, including hardware selection, tag strategy, reader placement, network considerations, and software integration

Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical documentation and implementation plans

Provide technical guidance and best practices for customer development of REST APIs and system integrations

Support troubleshooting, optimization, and stabilization efforts post-deployment

How You Will Do It

Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, project management, and customer success teams to ensure consistent solution delivery

Support pre-sales and discovery activities by providing technical input, solution recommendations, and feasibility assessments

Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Support customer training, documentation, and knowledge transfer initiatives to ensure deployment readiness

Track implementation progress, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent deployments

Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and deployment records

Capture post-implementation lessons learned and provide feedback to improve processes, tools, and product capabilities

Ensure all solutions align with Johnson Controls best practices, scalability guidelines, and company standards

What We Look For (Required Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution implementation, systems integration, or technical project delivery
  • Hands-on experience with RFID technologies and associated hardware and software ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, systems integration, and enterprise software deployments
  • Proven ability to design, document, and implement technical solutions
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying RFID solutions in retail, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or supply chain environments
  • Familiarity with site surveys, RF performance tuning, and environmental considerations
  • Experience in customer-facing roles or professional services organizations
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, APIs, and data integration architectures

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed to support deployments and site assessments (up to 25%)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000-117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
