Job Title: Implementation Manager (Higher Education – Registration Workflow Platform)
Location: Remote (US Based)
Salary Range: USD 70,000- 80,000 per annum
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Implementation Manager to lead onboarding and deployment of our registration workflow platform for colleges and postsecondary institutions. This role partners closely with college registrars, IT teams, academic leadership, and student services offices to configure workflows, align institutional processes, and ensure colleges launch smoothly and derive immediate value from the platform.
The ideal candidate has direct experience with higher-education systems and understands how colleges manage registration, course approvals, data workflows, student onboarding, and compliance requirements. This role requires strong project management, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of how technology supports complex academic processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all college customers during onboarding and implementation.
- Build and manage project plans, launch timelines, registration-cycle milestones, and success metrics.
- Facilitate kickoff meetings, workflow design discussions, and ongoing progress reviews with registrars, advisors, IT administrators, and other academic stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Support, Customer Success) to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
Workflow Design, Technical Setup & Configuration
- Guide colleges through configuration of registration workflows, program and course structures, approval paths, and user roles.
- Lead institutions through system setup including SIS integrations, SSO, data mapping, catalog/program imports, and workflow logic.
- Troubleshoot configuration or integration issues in collaboration with technical teams.
- Validate registration processes, data accuracy, and system readiness prior to go-live.
Training & Change Management
- Deliver targeted training sessions to college administrators, faculty approvers, advisors, and support staff on how to use the registration workflow platform.
- Develop or refine training materials, best-practice guides, and configuration documentation.
- Support institutional change management by helping colleges transition from manual/legacy processes to streamlined digital workflows.
Implementation Monitoring & Success Measurement
- Track project milestones, risks, workflow alignment, and customer feedback throughout implementation.
- Ensure launches align with college registration cycles and operational calendars.
- Conduct a complete and documented transition to Customer Success following implementation, including configuration details, goals, and early usage data.
- 3–5+ years experience in EdTech, higher-education services, or SaaS onboarding with a focus on college partners.
- Strong understanding of college registration processes, student services operations, workflow design, or dual enrollment procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations.
- Familiarity with technical concepts including SIS data structures, APIs, data imports, and authentication (SSO, SAML, OAuth).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with registrars, IT teams, and academic leadership.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience implementing workflow or process-automation tools within higher education.
- Familiarity with SIS platforms (Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar, Workday Student, PeopleSoft).
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM) a plus.
- Experience supporting institutional change management initiatives.
- Background in college operations, dual enrollment, registration management, or academic pathways.
- Successful, on-time launches of the registration workflow platform at multiple colleges.
- Workflow configurations that accurately reflect institutional processes and reduce administrative burden.
- Early user adoption across key college departments.
- Proactive identification and mitigation of integration, workflow, or operational risks.
- Contribution to the ongoing optimization of implementation processes and resources.
