Position Summary

In your role as a Shift Supervisor in the Implant Department, you will lead a talented team focused on maintaining basic condition on state-of-the-art Semiconductor Production Equipment while driving improvements related to quality, efficiency, defect reduction, and cost of ownership.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Monitoring tool status and tool performance daily along with any needed chart monitoring.
  • Reviewing FDC/Tool trend data to determine root cause of recurring issues. Interpret datasets and distinguish statistical trends and what they mean relative to Implant process control
  • Coordinating and leading team meetings and coordinating team members daily workload and sustaining activities in the fab when necessary
  • Ensuring SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) are utilized to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively
  • Analyzing alarms/interlocks data to identify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues relating to degrading parts / vacuum leaks / power supplies / pneumatic interfaces; and oversee Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Developing & improving documents: SOPs, Job Aids, Sensor Cards, OCAPs, Parts Lists, troubleshooting guides, PTPs, business process flows, etc.to identify and drive operational efficiency improvements
  • Performing root cause analysis to prevent future BMs. Analyze particle failures due to assembly/cabling/harness wear, assembly BMs, PS fails, etc. Utilize common problem-solving techniques such as Fishbone Diagrams and 5 Why's to provide solutions to issues on toolsets Willingness to Cross-train on ion-implantation Equipment, rapid thermal processing equipment and Implant Department process team

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • High School diploma is required; Technical degree preferred but not required with strong mechanical aptitude
  • 2+ years of semi-conductor experience highly desired
  • Knowledge of Implant, chamber Anneal (RTP), and/or chamber Treatment (etch) processes and equipment preferred
  • Experience with AMAT, Axcelis, LAM, Mattson, Nissin, and/or Veeco equipment preferred 
  • Understanding of Lean Principles and Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
