Position Summary

Join a high performing team that commands sophisticated equipment in a fast‑paced, clean‑room environment as an experienced, self‑directed Safety Coordinator. In this role you will act as the primary liaison between the Implant group and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), ensuring seamless communication and alignment of safety priorities. You will lead, guide, and report on all safety‑related matters for the department, collaborating closely with Equipment/Process Technicians and Engineers to proactively identify practical solutions to safety challenges while supporting 5S and broader safety initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll work on:

  • Ensuring that department remains in compliance with all Samsung EHS and regulatory agency requirements.  
  • Taking action to partner with team members and leadership to keep employees engaged in safe behavior. 
  • Work on various initiatives within the department and across departments as a Safety subject matter expert to improve the safety culture and safety execution of your team. 
  • Communicating and championing safety information, progress, and concerns across department and with EHS.   

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:        

  • 3+ years of experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks required
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, IH, Engineering, or closely related field preferred
  • Certification such as CSP, CIH, CHMM or ability to be certified preferred
  • Familiarity with General Industry OSHA Regulations and reporting guidelines
  • Preference for experience in General Industry at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts such as hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ion Implantation and Semiconductor Safety considerations
  • Must be willing and qualified to serve on the Emergency Response Team

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
