Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms, with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an Immigration Paralegal that would report to the Senior Manager of Legal Practice Support. Based in either our Washington D.C, Dallas, or Miami office, this position offers a flexible, hybrid in-office/remote working arrangement.
Key responsibilities include:
Under close supervision and guidance of immigration legal staff and attorneys, prepare and file nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications such as I-140 EB-1/2/3, AOS, H-1B, L-1, E-1/2/3, O-1, EAD, AP, J-1, etc.
Interface with clients to gather needed information and documents required for the preparation of petitions and applications
Ensure that clients are kept apprised of the progress of their cases
Respond to immigration inquiries in a timely manner
Enter, update, and maintain data in immigration case management system
Manage caseload and timely completion of work
Track and manage critical deadlines
Run active cases workload and client NIV expiration reports in immigration case management system
Attend team meetings and continue educational programs/seminars
Enter and close time entries in the Firm’s time recording system
Apply understanding of legal and ethical principles that guide paralegal conduct, including, but not limited to the unauthorized practice of law, confidentiality and attorney-client privilege, conflicts of interest, and GDPR compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 2 years of business immigration experience, preferably in a law firm setting
Other qualifications and requirements:
Experience with immigrant and non-immigrant petitions and applications
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
Attention to details
Good independent judgment
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, and work overtime as needed
Remain calm in the face of pressure

For positions in Washington, DC the salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $99,200.00.
For positions in Dallas, TX the salary range for this position is $56,600.00 - $90,575.00.
For positions in Miami, FL the salary range for this position is $53,900.00 - $86,225.00.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
