As an Imaging Library Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine computer operations for the Image Library using Hospital Information Systems (H.I.S.), Radiology Information Systems (R.I.S.) and PACS (Picture Archival Communication Systems). You will process and provide customer service with imaging releases, importation, media requests and other related activities. This role is essential to ensuring the organization and proper functioning of the Image Library, allowing you help enhance patient care every day. 


A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend| 7:00am—3:30pm. 


A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Provide customer service through incoming phone calls and websites.  

  • Import and export images and imaging information using computer operations and media. 

  • Digitize analog images into PACS. 

  • Process image requests from patients, providers and caregivers using R.I.S., H.I.S. and other computer applications.  

  • Maintain all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards regarding Protected Health Information (P.H.I.). 


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED  

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel  

  • Typing proficiency of 30WPM  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment.
