The role and Opportunity
Industry Teams operate with a clear market and client-centric focus. As a Director, you will collaborate with clients and teams to shape meaningful, people‑centred change across multiple industries. You will build trusted relationships, guide strategic opportunities through pursuit and business development activities, and empower teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions focused on transformation. Your leadership will help clients navigate evolving and complex market conditions with confidence, while contributing to a supportive and inclusive culture within PwC Our Directors shape the strategic direction of our Industry agenda and influence key decisions across the firm, lead and deliver, build and maintain, drive business development, act as a subject matter expert, be ahead of trends.
Examples of transformation projects include:
Transforming operations (planning, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, servicing)
Improving operational performance amid challenging evolving market conditions
Optimise portfolio (including M&A / divestitures)
Develop ESG strategy and goals, as well as an implementation plan to operationalise and achieve them
Accelerate value from, modernise and/or migrate technology (e.g. cloud)

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. This is a market-leading, capability growth position which has both market and client-centric focus, within our Irish and global markets.
Responsibilities include:
Engage with stakeholders across organisations to understand challenges and shape approaches to solve these leveraging the PwC network
Identify, nurture and to grow business development and pursuit activities across our relevant sectors, industry or priority client accounts
Be instrumental in driving Industry-led thought leadership and proposition development to solution for clients, networking internally to build competency-project teams for delivery of large-scale, tech-enabled and human-led programmes of work
Partnering with clients - Proactively assist in the management of several clients
Participating actively in client or management discussions to gather data and understand issues;
Facilitating working sessions of medium to large sized groups - Managing and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex data.
Experiences and skills
Demonstrable experience in growing of an Industry capability, growing client impact and commercial outcomes and project delivery for our clients at a strategic and delivery level
Demonstrable knowledge and a proven record of success in technology enabled Transformation programmes in back-office areas such as Finance, HR, etc.
Strong project management skills within a Transformation context or similar complex project with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and supportive environment
Strong analytical and innovative thinking skills, a solution-design thinking mindset with a strong background in leading multiple and complex client projects
