Job Description:

The opportunity:

Are you ready to make a real impact in the world of defence engineering? At Leonardo, we’re looking for an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer to join our Supportability team – a unique discipline that touches every stage of a programme, from initial development and production to customer support, repairs, and end-of-life disposal.

If you have a strong background in ILS and are seeking a new challenge where your expertise directly influences cutting-edge technology, this could be the role for you.

Your impact:

  • Defining and documenting In-Service Support strategies (Repair, Spares, ESS, Test, FSR)

  • Coordinating with Subject Matter Experts across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Interpreting ISS requirements and KPIs to guide decision-making

  • Performing Logistic Support Analysis and Reporting (LSAR) for every maintenance level of Leonardo’s products

  • Working within the Advanced Targeting business area, influencing the supportability, strategy, and performance of next-generation Laser and Infra-Red Countermeasure systems

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of ISS requirements and KPIs (Availability, Fill Rate, Repair Turnaround Time)

  • Experience in spares modelling (Opus/Simlox) is a bonus, but not essential

  • Background in Electronic Product Design

  • Ideally, an Honours degree in engineering or a science-based discipline and experience in industry, defence, or relevant sectors

At Leonardo, your work matters. You’ll be at the forefront of defence innovation, ensuring that our advanced products are supported efficiently, reliably, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
