Salary Range: $90,750 - $120,000
Job Summary
Manages the key point of contact between the warehouse and the buying, store operations, and finance inventory teams on matters related to warehouse inventory. Investigates ordering issues/concerns; identifies root problems (system, inventory, etc.); and works with internal stakeholders to address customers concerns.
Education:
- Post Secondary Education
- Possession of PMAC, CPP certificate or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- Minimum five years of Supply Chain experience required, with particular experience developing inventory forecasts and reports to track inventory at the SKU level across multiple warehouses
- Experience managing service level fill rates and identifying solutions to meet service level and inventory turn targets ideally gained in a retail environment
- Retail experience in inventory demand planning & forecasting – maybe at an Inventory analyst job at some point in their career
- Experience with logistics systems and best practices to ensure process efficiency and improved service is required.
- Experience with tier one E.R.P. and W.M.S. systems (e.g. Microsoft Navision, JDA, Manhattan, Highjump, Exacta)
- Supervised a small team – ideal would be a small call centre-type environment
- Experience setting up processes/reports to track warehouse inventory across the chain and work with the merchants (buyers) to improve inventory turns while maintaining in-stock positions

Essential Duties Manager, Inventory Control
- Supervises a team responsible for inputting orders, making changes to orders, approving additional orders, and answering inquiries about franchisee’s orders from warehouse, buying, and finance inventory staff
- Provides analysis and reporting on system-wide inventory
- Generates reports e.g., Inventory Error Root Cause analysis (root cause analysis to decrease mis-picks and errors) report; Slotting Analysis Reports; KPI Metrics, etc. *Maintain KPI metrics
- Developing/improving, documenting, training/implementing, and certifying DC compliance with SOPs that mirror industry best practices in areas of process expertise
- Works with buying, finance, and store operations departments to control inventory costs by identifying excess stock, unusual distribution trends on a SKU level basis and providing regular forecasts as well as recommendations for corrective action
- Develops staff and leads process improvement projects in inventory control and customer service.
- Develops, trains co-workers and supports a Quality Assurance Program. Administers and monitors Key Performance Indicators
- Provides recommendations and supports to the Warehouse Leadership Team for internal and external customer service improvements
- Develops and maintains a regular staff training program/system to meet/exceed customer service requirements
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required, e.g:
- Inventory turns and procut age
- Warehouse space requirements
- Inbound receiving capacity requirements
- Inventory slotting based on velocity
- Warehouse shortage root causes
