The Position

The I&B Country Partner is a strategic leader responsible for the localized execution and measurable impact of the Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) Strategy in a specific country (China, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland). This role champions I&B by translating enterprise standards into appropriate initiatives, ensuring I&B is deeply integrated into local people practices and specific business outcomes. You will cultivate an inclusive culture that aligns the organization’s commitment with local realities, ensuring the sustainable benefits of an inclusive workplace are experienced internally.

The Opportunity: 

Strategy Execution & Accountability

  • Partner with local senior leaders to strengthen I&B within their business units, linking strategically with specific priorities.

  • Lead the implementation of the I&B Strategy and divisional strategies within the designated country.

  • Equip country leaders with practical tools and resources to achieve agreed upon measurable outcomes, engaging and holding local leaders accountable through tailored KPIs and metrics.

  • Provide proactive thought leadership and expertise, linking I&B to the local business strategy in areas of greatest impact

  • Manage resource allocation, prioritization, and trade-offs regarding budget and capacity to ensure the most impactful local execution of the I&B strategy

Localized Diagnostics & Partnership

  • Listen and diagnose the evolving needs of the local organization, working with the IBO and other partners to proactively develop localized solutions or interventions.

  • Working with local senior leaders and P&C  must be conducted in coordination and alignment with P&C's operating model.

  • Ensure I&B behaviors are woven into local organizational culture, so that they become embedded into both strategic and daily experiences.

Coaching & Capability Building

  • Serve as a strong executive coach to local senior leaders on I&B topics.

  • Coach and mentor colleagues as required to continuously build I&B capability in the country, ensuring connection with local business needs and resulting in positive outcomes.

Decision Ownership

  • Decision Ownership: This role focuses on strategy execution, expertise, and localization of I&B standards at the country level. While the role is accountable for driving impact and collaborating closely with local management, decision rights for local policy implementation, budgets, or P&C processes typically remain with the respective Country/P&C lead.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience: Over 10 years of experience in Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) or a related field, with a significant proportion of this time leading the I&B agenda at a country level.

  • Deep Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive knowledge of I&B topics and how inclusion influences leadership, talent, culture change, and employee engagement.

  • International Acumen: Deep understanding of the cultural, social, and economic dynamics in different international markets.

  • Strategic Impact: Proven experience in creating differentiated I&B strategies that have transformed the relationship of an organization to I&B.

  • Data-Driven Accountability: Ability to demonstrate return on investment (ROI) linking data to business outcomes and utilizing data to hone insights and make recommendations.

  • Executive Influence: Outstanding ability to interact, influence, and collaborate with employees and management across all levels, including securing buy-in and commitment for I&B initiatives.

  • Data-Driven Accountability: Strong capability in utilizing data to hone insights and make recommendations , including the ability to hold local leaders accountable through tailored KPIs and metrics.

  • Change Management & Integration: Expertise in ensuring I&B is deeply integrated into local people practices and specific business outcomes, leading to the sustainable benefits of an inclusive workplace.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive knowledge of I&B topics and how inclusion influences leadership, talent, culture change, and employee engagement.

  • Prioritization & Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to make trade-off decisions, prioritize local initiatives against resource constraints (budget and time), and proactively manage senior stakeholder expectations.
