Pharmaceutical Sales Representative -Team Lead

This hybrid role combines virtual pharmaceutical sales responsibilities with occasional travel for live, face-to-face interactions.  Additionally, this position involves team leadership, peer coaching, and analytics responsibilities to drive team performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Position Summary

The Hybrid Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Team Lead is responsible for engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs) through virtual platforms to promote client products and messages while meeting sales goals. The role also includes travel to engage in live, face-to-face customer and team interactions as needed. You will also mentor, coach, and support team members, share insights from analytics, and provide ongoing training to foster team growth and success.  A strong Team Lead will combine technical expertise with interpersonal skills to drive team performance, foster growth, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Conduct daily sales call activities using virtual and remote platforms to influence customers and increase product sales.
  • Travel regionally  to cover our clients vacant territories if needed or attend events
  • Build and maintain relationships with HCPs through meaningful and relevant dialogues to achieve individual and territory goals for sales and market share.
  • Profile and manage targeted lists of HCPs, delivering value-added benefits to grow product volume.
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet territory and organizational sales goals.
  • Pass all product training and certifications and adhere to approved messaging and promotional guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate product information using listening and negotiation skills to overcome obstacles and drive product utilization with appropriate patients.

Peer Coaching and Mentorship

  •  The Team Lead should foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, providing guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to team members.
  • Actively identify areas where peers can grow and provide constructive feedback to help improve their performance and confidence.
  • Motivate team members by recognizing their strengths by encouraging initiative and fostering accountability for their roles.

Analytics Summarization and Insights

  • Data driven decision making collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to provide actionable insights that support team and organizational goals.
  •  Reporting skills creating clear, concise, and impactful reports that highlight trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement, with a framework provided.
  • Prepare and present impactful reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders and align with team and organizational goals.

Training and Development

  • Provide hands-on training and tailored feedback to support team members’ growth and ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, client needs, and best practices to refine training programs and maintain team competitiveness.
  • Represent the organization at national or local conventions and participate in teleconferences, team meetings, and live training sessions as required.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Fully comply with Amplity policies, Code of Conduct, data privacy guidelines, and all relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate data entry in CRM systems, detailing customer interactions and preparing and submitting reports for management as required.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical sales experience required.
  • 2+ years of virtual pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel within the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico for live HCP interactions and other in-person events 4-6 times per year or as needed.
  • Willingness to work virtually across all U.S. time zones.
  • Successfully pass all required Amplity and client-required training.

  • Highly engaging and collaborative in a virtual sales environment.
  • Proficiency with virtual platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $85K - $91K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors. Comprehensive package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance long-term and short-term disability.401K. Paid company holidays and generous PTO.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers.  It is the Company’s expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.  

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
